I have been in the pastoral ministry for 25 years or so. I served at Salem First Nazarene in Salem, Oregon for 17 ½ years. I spent this time in many different rolls. I began with over 11 years in middle school ministry & recreation, 4 years in college ministry, I also served in men's ministry, outreach ministry, and served as missions pastor for around 5 years. As the missions pastor I was able to lead teams of people all over the world! This was an amazing experience. Before coming to Oregon I served as the youth pastor at Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene as the youth pastor for 1 ½ while going to school at NNU. I left Salem and went to San Diego to serve as a Senior Pastor at Linda Vista Church of the Nazarene for 4 years. I am currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Sisters Church of the Nazarene back in Oregon. I have been here 2 years currently.
I married my beautiful High School sweetheart 26 years ago and God has helped us to build a strong marriage. It took a lot of work! We have 3 wonderful kids. Lindsay is our oldest who just graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University this past school year, in Business. Our son Zach is currently at Northwest Nazarene University and is a junior and is double majoring in Business and Accounting. He also will be getting married next August! Our youngest daughter is Breanna and she will be starting High School this year at Sisters High School. |

I have been a fisherman all of my life. I love to fish! My father was a school teacher and so our summer vacations were centered around month long fishing trips from Southern California to the Northwest and Canada. Yellowstone was one of our favorite spots to fish and I have many stories of fishing from our 14 foot aluminum Gregor boat. When you love to fish you don't always think through about the situations that you put yourself and your friends into in search of the great catch. I have many stories and great memories of fishing in Seal Beach, California.
My fly fishing experience began shortly after moving to the Northwest back in 1987. I started to learn on my grandfathers bamboo fly rod. It was much more difficult than I thought and I almost gave it up due to the frustration of learning a new style of fishing. I am so glad that I stuck with it due to a great friend, Steve Bearden, that learned the sport with me. I have used this sport to meet great people all over the Northwest. Through our outreach ministries in Salem and Sisters we have offered beginning fly fishing classes to the community. We have tried to use these classes to connect to people that have a love for fishing too. God has wired me to with a love for fishing. He has expanded my passion to fish for both fish and men. I hope that you will come and allow us to share together about the great adventure that God is leading us upon. God has a wild adventure planned for all who are man enough to allow Him to lead!
I hope to see you next summer,
